Our kindergarteners had an exciting opportunity to learn about forces through a hands-on presentation from Discovery Gateway! Students explored the science behind how objects move and discovered that a force is a push or a pull that can change the motion of an object.
During the presentation, students learned how pushes and pulls can make objects move, stop, speed up, slow down, or even change direction. Rather than simply learning about these ideas from a book, our kindergarteners got to see the concepts in action through engaging activities and demonstrations.
The hands-on experiences gave students opportunities to think like scientists. They were excited to participate, ask questions, and discover what happens when different forces are applied to objects.
The presentation from Discovery Gateway helped make a challenging science concept fun and accessible for our youngest learners. Students were able to connect what they were learning to things they see and do every day.
Our kindergarteners had a wonderful time exploring, experimenting, and learning together. We are grateful to Discovery Gateway for bringing science to life and helping our students discover that learning can be both fun and hands-on!
