A man who is a representative of the organization One Kind Act a Day is holding a banner that says "One Kind Act a Day Recognizes Hill Field Elementary. There is a circle with an orange outer ring that says ," One Kind Act a Day Community of Kindness School." Mrs. Burk (Principal) and Mrs. Storms (PTA) are holding a plaque with a certificate of recognition.

We are excited to announce that our school has been recognized as a Certified School of Kindness by One Kind Act a Day! This recognition highlights our school’s commitment to creating a positive, caring, and supportive environment where students and staff work together to make kindness part of everyday life.

One Kind Act a Day is an organization dedicated to spreading kindness through simple daily actions that make a meaningful difference in schools, homes, and communities. Their mission is to encourage people of all ages to intentionally choose kindness and recognize the impact even small acts can have on others.

Schools are selected for this certification based on their efforts to promote inclusion, empathy, respect, and positive relationships throughout the school community. Certified Schools of Kindness demonstrate a commitment to building a culture where students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to care for one another both inside and outside the classroom.

One way our students and staff have been celebrating and encouraging kindness this year is through a special schoolwide paper chain project. Every time a student or staff member notices or performs a kind act, a new paper link is added to the chain. The chain has continued to grow as acts of kindness spread throughout our school, serving as a colorful reminder that even small actions can have a big impact. From helping a classmate to including others at recess or showing respect in the classroom, each link represents the caring spirit of our school community.

We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for helping make our school a place where kindness matters every day. This recognition reflects the positive choices our school community continues to make, and we look forward to continuing to grow a culture of compassion, respect, and kindness for years to come.
