Three high school students in the Latinos in Action program are working with six 5th grade boys and girls at their desks on math skills.

We are grateful to partner with the Latinos in Action (LIA) program from Northridge High School, whose student tutors have been making a meaningful impact in our classrooms. Latinos in Action is a leadership program that empowers high school students to serve as role models while supporting younger students academically and socially.

Each week, LIA tutors visit our school to work one-on-one and in small groups with students. They assist with reading, math, and classroom activities, helping build confidence and strengthen important skills. Beyond academics, these high school mentors model positive behavior, responsibility, and the value of education.

Our students look forward to their time with the LIA tutors and benefit greatly from the extra support and encouragement they provide. The relationships formed through this partnership help create a positive and inspiring learning environment for everyone involved.

We appreciate the dedication and leadership of the LIA students and thank Northridge High School for investing in our school community. Their commitment to service is truly making a difference!
