Fourth grade students are visiting a second grade class. They are working with the second graders on an art project, making a winter scene.

At our school, learning goes beyond the classroom, and our Classroom Buddies program is a perfect example of that! Once a month, older grade levels are paired with younger classes to spend time together through shared activities that build relationships, leadership, and a sense of belonging.

During these buddy sessions, students read together, complete hands-on projects, play learning games, and practice kindness and cooperation. Older students have the opportunity to step into leadership roles by modeling positive behavior and offering encouragement, while younger students gain confidence and feel supported by their school community.

The Classroom Buddies program helps strengthen connections across grade levels and reinforces our school’s commitment to creating a caring, inclusive environment where every student feels known and valued. These meaningful moments remind us that we are not just a school. We are a community.
